About: On Dec. 24,
2009
Pastor Fred Fowler traveled to Monrovia, Liberia, Africa
to visit Pioneer Baptist Church missionary Pastor
Solomon Joah and serve as the main speaker at the
National Conference. The Pioneer Baptist Church has been
proud and blessed to support Joah's ministry for the
last 15 years. Despite the thousands of miles that
separate our church from Joah's Refuge Baptist Church in
Liberia, we are close in spirit and in doctrine. Led by
Joah, who is a native of Africa, Refuge Baptist is an
independent fundamental Baptist church that strives to
share the gospel, believe and follow the Bible, and
contend for the faith. Pastor Fowler was asked by Joah
to speak at the conference on a variety of topics
including: the charismatic movement, new-evangelicalism,
and the fundamentals of the Bible. Pastor Fowler was in
Africa from Dec. 24 to Jan. 8 and preached 13 sermons to
crowds as large as 700 (crowds were composed of members
of regional churches and local visitors). Biblical
truths were preached, decisions for Christ were made,
and God was glorified.
